These 5 songs were written over the course of many years and honed by the pop sensibilities of Run to Sandy.
In fact, Fine Line was originally written and recorded in 1990 by The Abstractions who were Brad Pollard (Chewing on Foil, Spyplane), Tim Baier (Roads to Space Travel, Slow Jets), Pat Wescott (Park Police, Elderstatesmen), Mick Kunkowski and RTS' Jeff Sawyer. This new take on the song emphasizes the vocal prowess and updated style of RTS.
The original, acoustic version of Emel was recorded by Jeff Sawyer and the angel-voiced Annemarie Curry in 1994. Again, RTS has updated that bare bones, 90's folk-styling, giving new life to the song.
Bravery March and Beautiful Muse are songs originally written and demo'd as acoustic ramblings by Jeff Sawyer, but fleshed out by RTS into the shuffling, pop motifs they are today.
Lacking was written by RTS' Dave Palmer and Chris Cook, indicating the direction some of the bands' newer (and not yet recorded) songs embrace.
But old and new alike shine in the hands of RTS. We know. We worked hard polishing them
Peace!
